The first team produced a fine performance but were knocked out of the Herts County Cup at a strong St Albans side. Jane Hales scored both of Garston’s goals in the 4-2 defeat.
The Seconds made it four wins out of four and climbed to the top of the Beds & Herts Division Two on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 away victory at Letchworth through goals from Lauren Berryman, Charley Kelsey and Eleanor Barton’s first for the team.
Garston’s Under-18s are also top of the league following a 5-1 win away at St Albans City. A Yasmin Sabri brace and goals from Emily Downey, Ore Jacobi and Nicole Moore secured the three points.
The Under 15-Lionesses progressed to the next round of the County Cup thanks to an almost flawless performance against St Albans Ladies.
There were hat-tricks from Claudia Bulow and Sharday Constable while Charlotte Bambridge, Mae-Ling Leung, Sarah O’Brien, Nicole Zermani and Paige Andrews also found the back of the net in an 11-0 win for the Lionesses.
The Under 14-Jaguars played out an exciting 3-3 draw at Denham as Minnie Freed’s brace and one from Sienna Noel-Williams saw the Purples fight back from 3-1 down to secure a valuable point.
The Under 12-Wildcats also picked up a point in a 2-2 draw with Ware Rangers thanks to a Keira Rajkumar brace, while the Under 12-Lions were forced to dig deep to record their second win of the season.
