A strong closing seven holes helped Matt Wallace get moving back up the leaderboard at the BMW SA Open after shooting a three-under-par third round of 69.
After firing a good opening round of 68, the Moor Park Golf Club professional last ground with a two-over-par 74 yesterday, but has moved back up to a tie for 33rd at the time of writing on five-under-par for 54 holes.
The 27-year-old started with a dropped shot at the first at Glendower Golf Club, but he immediately retrieved that by making a birdie four at the second for the third successive round.
Wallace played par golf until a bogey five at the 10th, but his round then took a marked turn for the better, with back-to-back birdies on the 12th and 13th, a trick he repeated on the 16th and 17th to continue his move back up the leaderboard.
Chris Paisley is currently leading the tournament on 15-under-par, three shots clear of the field.
