Polka Dot Pantomimes and Harpenden Public Halls have announced the first members of their cast for this year’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Darren Maddison, producer for Polka Dot Pantomimes says: “We are delighted to announce these two highly experienced pantomime stars to headline our first production here at Harpenden Public Halls. Snow White is one of the most enchanting pantomime stories and Jeremy will bring lots of charm to the role of the Prince, whilst Steve will make sure there plenty of laughs and one or two surprises along the way!”

Jeremy Edwards as Prince Charming

He has been a firm TV favourite for over 20 years, starring as popular character Kurt Benson in Hollyoaks, before moving on to BBC’s flagship medical drama Holby City, as heart-throb Nursing assistant Danny Shaughnessy. More recently, Jeremy has become a familiar face to younger audiences as fitness instructor Mike in CBBC’s Millie In-Between. He has also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and as a regular on The Wright Stuff.

Steve Shappelle as Nurse Nellie

Joining Jeremy Edwards, Harpenden’s favourite pantomime dame, Steve Shappelle, is back by popular demand, as the hilarious Nurse Nellie. Steve received rave reviews for his role as Sarah the Cook in last year’s Dick Whittington, and is sure to raise even louder laughter this year, with outrageous costumes, and expert ad-libbing.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs from December 8 to 30.
