Traffic is continuing to build on the M1 this evening due to emergency repairs.
Two lanes are shut northbound between j4 for Edgware and j5 for Watford, with the closures as you approach j5.
Highways England is reporting queues of six miles with tailbacks stretching back to near j2 and delays of around an hour-and-a-half.

A large hole has appeared in the road surface and lanes have been shut for most of the afternoon.
As a result of the M1 troubles, the A41 near Bushey is affected as is the A41 Watford Way between Hendon and Apex Corner.
