Interior scenes for a new film under the name Spiral were shot in Kings Langley’s Fred and Ginger Coffee, apparently "on short notice", from 8am until 1pm on March 22.

Staff remained tight-lipped on what the movie is about or who is starring in it.

The Watford Observer’s best guess at the time was Spiral may have been a working title for a sequel to Ghostbusters Afterlife.

Silent Witness

Long-running crime drama Silent Witness recorded scenes in Market Street, Watford, on May 18, including some inside Jenny’s Café and Oana Hair Studio.

The BBC production department confirmed that it will not be depicting Watford in the programme, instead Market Street will be “merely shown as a generic road and café in the UK”.

Big Boys, broadcast by Channel 4, was filming at the café and is loose based on the life of show creator and comedian Jack Rooke, who grew up in Rickmansworth.
