A new women's clothes store is set to open in atria Watford.

Hobbs London, a luxury British womenswear brand, will move into the town’s shopping centre “soon”, according to a social media post.

It reads: “New store alert! Opening soon, luxury British womenswear brand, Hobbs London will be bringing their timeless collections to atria Watford.

“Known for their elegant and feminine designs of exceptional quality, hands up if you're excited?”

The retailer currently has 77 sites nationwide and reportedly targets the “average woman between the ages of 20 and 40 interested in clothing”.

It was founded in Hampstead in 1981 and began as a shoe retailer.

Atria Watford has been contacted for comment. More to follow.

The news follows confirmation that footwear business Greyder would also be opening soon in the shopping centre's upper mall level, opposite Schuh.

The brand is not a household name in the UK but has recently undertaken a rapid expansion after 60 years in the Turkish market.

It sells men’s and women’s shoes, sandals and trainers, as well as its sustainable line Greyder LAB.
