Two Watford bars are among 17 that have been closed by the UK's biggest nightclub operator.

Pryzm - which shut its doors at New Year - and Steinbeck & Shaw are among 50 bars that had been run by Rekom UK.

Both venues were based at 127 The Parade, Watford, with Steinbeck & Shaw on the ground floor and Pryzm upstairs.

Pryzm closed at the end of 2023, with a spokesperson explaining that the club had been unable to reach an agreement with the landlord on a new lease.

Itts operator Rekom UK was forced to call in administrators in January, after facing "challenging" trading conditions according to The Sun.

Now, it has named 17 locations that will close after failing to find a buyer to take them on. A further 11 sites have been sold and will stay open under new owners.

Six Pryzm sites have been named among the closures, along with four Atiks, a Jumpin Jaks and a Bar & Beyond.
