Watford workers now have more options for lunch as Greggs has opened in the new £25 million business park.

The branch launched in Unit 1 of the Watford Business Park, in Faraday Close, over the weekend, serving the fan-favourite sausage rolls, steak bakes and vegan alternatives.

It is open from 6am to 6pm between Monday to Saturday in Unit 1, and 8am to 5pm on Sunday.

Shop Manager Peter Veres said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”

Greggs Retail Operations Director Gillian Long said: “Our new shop in Watford Business Park has brought 12 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”

The 74-acre business park was completed last December, aimed at attracting companies from high-value sectors, particularly film and TV, life sciences, and manufacturing to the town.

The project cost £25 million in total and was part-funded by a £5 million investment from the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
