St Albans Tour Guides are providing a weekend of insight into the architecture and history surrounding the many antiquated buildings in the area.
Saturday’s guided walk, Rags and Riches, takes in the 72 listed buildings around St Michael’s village ranging from manor house to workman’s cottage.
Sunday’s walk, Aristocrats, Paupers and Philanthropists, looks into the history of Winston Churchill’s ancestors, whilst looking at some of the lesser known historic features of the St Peter’s area.
