A PINNER mother-of-two took to the catwalk on Thursday to prove there is life after breast cancer surgery.
Lynne Higley, 60, was among a group of breast cancer survivors showcasing lingerie and swimwear at a fashion parade in Watford.
Speaking before the show Lynne said: "Your morale can get quite low after you have had breast cancer and I think doing this will help me.
"Something like this would give other women a real boost. It will let them see that they can still wear nice things."
Lynne, who is also a grandmother-of-two, was diagnosed with breast cancer ten years ago and has been attending relaxation therapy at the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (LMJC) at Mount Vernon Hospital ever since.
She spends most of her time with her grandchildren and says they are "her world".
Her son Lee, 33, and her daughter Karen, 31, have both fundraised for cancer charities such as the LJMC.
Lynne said: "I wanted to do the show to be able to give something back to those who have helped me."
The fashion parade was held at John Lewis, Watford, and was co-hosted by the LJMC.
Buzz Coster, who has worked at the LJMC for five years, said: "The fashion evenings are all about the look good, feel good factor. We organise them to make people feel good about the whole thing."
Ann added: "It would be nice to have other people taking part in the show as well."
