An “outstanding” pub with “a unique blend of charm and modern potential” could be yours to own for £650,000 after the landlord decided to retire.

The Plough, in Belsize between Chipperfield and Sarratt, and its half-an-acre site are up for sale with vacant possession.

Current owner Barry Irvine said: “The Plough is a lovely pub in a pretty village and has traded well for the last twenty years under the existing tenant who has made the decision to retire.

“I am in my mid-eighties and am beginning to tidy up my investments on the advice of both my family and inevitably the accountants.”

Described by chartered surveyor Fleurets, which has listed The Plough for sale, as an “outstanding property” in “a desirable location” it is also said to have “ample space for expansion”.

The trading space is separated into a bar area and a dining room with the ground floor also housing the kitchen. There are two double bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.

The site also contains a cellar, and a car park to the rear with space for 25 cars. The garden seats around 60 people.

Fleurets senior associate Elysia Wilson-Gunn said: “The property has great potential with two internal trading areas, with an attractive large trade garden on a plot size of nearly half an acre, in this affluent village.”
