Nine teams have so far confirmed their participation in this year's Watford Observer Fourteen14 but there is still time to ensure your club is in the field for the area's premier limited overs competition.

Entries for the Shield and Plate close on Thursday and, so far, Abbots Langley, Chipperfield Clarendon, Hemel Hempstead Town, Kings Langley, Leverstock Green (two teams), Rickmansworth School Staff, Watford Grammar School for Staff and West Herts have signed up to take part.

However, organisers are confident the field will grow considerably in the next week and clubs wishing to take part should click here for full entry details.

The entry form should be printed off, completed and returned to the stated address with a cheque for £40 to cover the competition entry fee.

Only two teams will have the opportunity to battle it in the final of the Shield at West Herts on Tuesday, July 7 but a Watford Observer title is also on offer to the winners of the Plate.

It is hoped details of the venues for the latter stages of both competitions will be confirmed shortly.
