Police will be running a crime prevention event in St Albans where free tool engraving will be on offer.

Officers from St Albans police will be running a stall at Bunnings Warehouse in Griffiths Way on Sunday, February 26 from 10am to 3pm.

Visitors will be able to get their tools engraved for free, which makes them less attractive to thieves and also easier to return if they are stolen and later recovered by police.

This is also a chance for residents to meet their local officers and find out more about signing up as a volunteer cadet or special police constable.

Officers will also offer crime prevention advice to help prevent residents from becoming a victim of thieves.
