Richard AHRENS Died at the Peace Hospice, Watford, on 10th June 2020, aged 86, of cancer. A loved and loving brother, husband, father and grandfather, community activist and educator. Richard will be greatly missed by sisters Doris, Mavis and Beryl, wife Sue, daughters Dani and Kate and their partners Allie and Nick, and grandchildren Sophie, Pearl, Greg and Leo. He will also be remembered by many friends and comrades from his wide-ranging creative, political and community activities over the years. Due to current restrictions the funeral is for close family only, but there will be a celebration of Richard's life at a later date. Any enquiries to sue.ahrens567@gmail.com

There was much to admire about Richard. A gentle , thoughtful man who genuinely cared about other people. The world is a lesser place without him. But those he inspired will, no doubt, try hard to fill the gap he leaves.
