LEAP24 are delighted at the response their Ultra Rapid Charging Station in Garston has enjoyed since it was officially opened in September by Watford mayor Peter Taylor, with local motorists flocking to the site.

Equally encouraging has been the strong take-up of the LEAP24 Partner Card,  as LEAP24 continues to expand its ultra-rapid charging network across London and the Home Counties. The card offers members access to a fixed 59p/kWh rate for £4.99 per month; a saving on LEAP24’s standard, network-leading 69p/kWh tariff.

There’s no doubt that price and accessibility are driving the success of the Garston.

The Garston site is popular with all EV drivers, but especially larger vehicles and professional road users such as van and taxi drivers. For van drivers the size of the charging bays, which are bigger than the majority offered at other facilities, make parking so much easier.

At the Garston site there are six bays, with each bay coming in at a standard width of 3.5m and offering 300kW ultra-rapid chargers; parking and charging your car and has never been easier or quicker.

Pelle Schlichting, founder and CEO of LEAP24, said: “We’re thrilled at the success of the Watford facility. Local motorists have quickly embraced both our network-leading charges and the extra dimension of the charging bays.

“We feel that it is important that, whatever size of the vehicle, the driver can park up as quickly and as easily as possible, and I believe we have achieved that at Garston by providing charging bays that can accommodate larger vehicles.

“We are also proud of the way we were able to transform a neglected garage site into a modern charging hub for the community.
