A classic car show is set to return this year, delighting enthusiasts after a four-year absence.
Classics on the Green will once again be held in Croxley Green on May 3.
The popular spectacle initially stopped due Covid and briefly returned in 2022, only to go on hiatus due to a variety of factors including a lack of volunteers and concerns about the impact the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expansion would have.
Kevin France, director of Watford and District Classic Vehicles Trust, told the Watford Observer: "We tried testing the water in 2022 but our committee was all getting older and it is a 12 to 14-hour day. The last four years we have tried to bring it back but had a lack of volunteers."
Its resurrection was made possible by new volunteers coming forward and the invitation to hold the show as part of the three-day Hortons Steam Fair that is taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Fees for the event are set at £10 per car and £5 per bike or scooter, with money raised going towards the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Service and a range of projects and community groups in the Watford area.
Kevin says that attendees can expect "a huge array of classic and custom cars", estimating that between 1,200 and 1,500 vehicles will be on show.
He is hoping the event can raise between £6,000 and £10,000.
