Presenter Will Njobvu has been training hard with other stars in preparation to compete on a ITV sports reality game show.

The Capital Xtra presenter, from Rickmansworth, is practicing along with other celebrity contestants after he signed up to ITV’s celebrity Olympics reality show, The Games.

Although the 27-year-old will be a reserve contestant if one of the other male contestants falls ill or gets injured, he has been going through some intense work for the show.

Njobvu is said to be learning how to swim “from scratch” as he will have to be prepared to dive if he is called on to the show.

He will take on the challenge despite his heart condition - Mitral Valve Prolapse – which can cause fatigue or difficulty breathing during exercise.

A spokesperson said: “Will Njobvu is a reserve competitor on the show and is training hard with the rest of the team in preparation for the live shows.”

Love Island star Chloe Burrows, who featured in the series last summer, is also a reserve contestant.

Celeb names participating in the show include Wes Nelson, Max George, Oliva Attwood and more.
