We have again dipped into the Watford Observer’s online archive and here are ten more pictures for you to enjoy that were captured by our photographers in 1990.
Looking back from summer onwards that year, traffic was brought to a temporary standstill by the town’s carnival, while a demonstration against the poll tax took place outside the Town Hall.
Two town centre pubs that are no longer with us – The Artichoke and The One Bell – also feature, while there is also a glimpse of how the Hornets Shop once looked.
