Sometimes you need to have a sense of humour - and we all love it when something goes wrong.

An interactive dinosaur display in which many of the dinosaurs don't have teeth and some are missing limbs is hardly Jurassic Park.

OK, so nobody got eaten, but we were surprised by the strength of feeling when we asked readers what Cassiobury Park's latest attraction was like.

It was a chance to break out some jokes that are almost as old as some of the dinosaurs modelled: What do you call a dinosaur with no eyes? A Doyouthinkhesaurus.

And despite the scepticism of many of the adults paying the entrance fee, children reportedly loved the less-than-terrible lizards, even if some might have left their dental work in a glass by the bedside.

But the people behind it all, Jurassic Encounter, need to come clean about their - ahem - teething problems.

The overall effect was not as impressive as we had been led to believe, and fell short of the standards many expect in Cassiobury Park.

Some disgruntled visitors felt so short-changed they asked for a refund.

The Watford Observer asked Jurassic Encounter for a response to the problems reported by our readers, but had not received one at the time of going to press, or of uploading this comment.

We look forward to a full explanation of the problems next week.
