Knutsford Conservation Area and Munden Estate
This 3.6-mile circular walk takes nearly two hours to complete. The walk is great for birdwatchers and for anyone who wants to take in breath-taking views.

Stanmore Country Park
You can take a short 1.5-mile nature trail in this beautiful park just outside of Watford. The park is mainly made up of woodland with some open fields. You’ll be able to see the birds and if you are lucky, you might see some muntjac deer.

Hertfordshire Way from Nuthampstead to Great Hormead
If you are looking for a slightly longer walk, this 10-mile circular walk might just do the trick. Along the five-and-a-half-hour walk, you will walk past farms, churches and pubs.

Harpenden to St Albans via Redbournbury Watermill
Along this 12-mile walk, you will see historic buildings, such as the Redbournbury Mill and the St Albans Abbey. It’s a six hour and 20-minute walk, so take lots of water.
The walk ends in the historic city of St Albans that has lots of restaurants for you to choose from.

Start point: Harpenden railway station
End point: St Albans City railway station
Cassiobury Park and Grand Union Canal, Watford
This short 2-mile walk explores Watford's Cassiobury Park and a section of the Grand Union Canal. Along the walk you will see moored narrow boats and even some that are used as houseboats.
Level: Easy
Start and finish point: The start is the entrance to the park near the junction of Langley Way and Parkside Drive (Grid ref. TQ091974).
