A bakery that serves "pawsome" treats for dogs has opened at the Atria Watford shopping centre.

Watford is Frenchie Frenchie, The Barkery's 11th store and sells treats ranging from muffins and cakes to waffles and doughnuts.

The Barkery says on its Instagram page that its goods are "healthy and home-baked" and described themselves as "crazy dog people on a crazy dog crusade".

The stall, which opened on Easter Monday, also sells jumpers and cologne and the company is "excited" to move into the town.

The pooch bakery said in a Facebook post on April 15: "We’re so very PAWsitively excited to announce that we’re opening our eleventh standalone barkery!

"We’ll be situated smack bang in the middle of the Atria Shopping Centre. We’re currently hiring for the last couple of team members and the advert is live on Indeed.

"We’re absolutely PAWsitive our WUFFles, WOOFnuts & New PAWsome treats are going to be a HIT!

"We officially open on Easter Bank Holiday Monday."

Atria Watford said its own social media post: "Your eyes are not deceiving you, this is literally doughnuts for dogs! Welcome to Frenchie Frenchie.

"From doggy muffins, and doggy waffles to jumpers and cologne - they have it all. Come and check it out now!"

Unfortunately, the dogs won't be able to choose a treat for themself because animals are banned from the shopping centre unless they are an assistance dog.
