The country is gearing up to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and dozens of events will be taking place across Watford.

Street parties, comedy shows and music events will all be held to celebrate the Queen’s 70-year reign.

Celebrations will officially begin on Thursday, June 2, and end on Sunday, June 5, but festivities are also taking place before and after the bank holiday weekend.

Wednesday, June 1

Jubilee Lego event - A fun event for children.

Thursday June 2

TGR Jubilee bank holiday - Live music by Big Mama Funk and Feet First.
Location - 2 Market Street, Watford, WD18 0PD.
Time - Music 7-11pm and cocktail hour 6-7pm.

Light a beacon for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee - The Beacon is one of thousands being lit in the UK and the Commonwealth  
Location - KGV Playing Fields, Cobden Hill Radlett (home of Tabard Rugby Club & Radlett Cricket Club)

Royal Guards at Atria Watford (and June 3) - Royal Guards will march up and down the mall saluting everyone they meet. They will teach little soldiers the art of a good march – and a dance.

Friday June 3

Queen’s Jubilee and classic car show - There will also be craft, gift and food stalls, a fun fair, licensed bars, afternoon teas and a variety of live entertainment from the past 70 years.

Chipperfield on film through the ages, followed by John & Julie - The event begins with Chipperfield on film through the ages. Afterwards, John & Julie will be shown. Made in 1955, it is a story about two children who run away to London because they are determined to see The Queen’s Coronation.

Watford's big centenary and Jubilee celebration - The day will offer music and dance performances with an array of food an drink stalls on site. Rak-Su and Naughty Boy will be performing in the evening.
