The brand-new Channel 4 comedy Big Boys based on a teenager from Watford will be airing today.

Big Boys follows the story of two young men from opposite ends of the "spectrum of masculinity" but quickly become best friends when they meet at university.

What is it about?

The show is written by comedian Jack Rooke who wrote the show based on his own experiences and even narrates the show.

Watford-born Jack is a sheltered closeted 19-year-old coming to terms with his dad's death and is trying to work out want he wants from life is paired with typical lad Danny.

Jack is played by Derry Girls star Dylan Llewellyn, while the character’s mother Peggy is played by Camile Coduri who played Jackie Tyler in Doctor Who.

A lot of the show was filmed in Watford, Mill End, Harrow and Stanmore.

How to watch Big Boys:

The new comedy will air on Channel 4 on Thursday, May 26 at 10pm.

The second episode will air directly after the first, so you get a double bill of the sure to be hit show. 

However for those that are impatient – all six episodes can already be streamed on All 4.

The final episode has been teased as a “bit of a love letter to Watford”.
