Eateries in Watford and Three Rivers scored near perfect food hygiene ratings in recent inspections.

Inspectors from the environmental health team at the two councils were left impressed when all places visited were either found to be “good” or “very good” between mid-July and August.

Five is top of the scale, meaning the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law, and zero is at the bottom of the scale, meaning urgent improvement is necessary.

Here is a round-up of the other recent scores within both Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers:

Green Island Fish & Chip Shop

Church Lane, Mill End

On July 13, inspectors rated the takeaway 4/5 and said it was ‘good’.

Both the hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities were rated ‘good’ and the management of food safety was ‘generally satisfactory’.

Toad Hall Nursery

Hempstead Road, Watford

On July 14, inspectors took a look at the nursery and said both the hygienic food handling and management of food safety were “very good” while the cleanliness and condition of facilities were considered “good”.

It scored 5/5.

Chatori Kudi

Watford

This takeaway was also inspected on July 14 and both the hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities were rated ‘good’.

The management of food safety was ‘generally satisfactory’.

It scored a 4/5.

Village Kitchen

Lower Paddock Road, Oxhey

On July 20, inspectors gave the kitchen a 5/5 with a ‘very good’ ranking.

All areas inspected – the hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and management of food safety – were rated ‘good’.

KSV Business – Esso Service Station

Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth

Inspectors visited the service station on July 20 and ranked the place ‘very good’ with a 5/5 rating.

Yam Yam Bistro

Poplars Close, Watford

This spot was ranked ‘very good’ with a 5/5 rating after a visit on July 21.

The hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities were ‘very good’ and the management of food safety was ranked ‘good’.

Burgitzza

Chalk Hill, Watford

The delivery venue was rated 4/5 and ranked ‘very good’ after an inspection on July 21.

However a full breakdown on what it scored on individual areas inspected has not been provided.

Pecking Garden Restaurant

Main Avenue, Moor Park

This restaurant was rated 5/5 and ranked ‘very good’ on July 21.

Both the hygienic food handling and management of food safety were ‘very good’ and the cleanliness and condition of facilities were ‘good’.

Soul Survivor Watford Church

Greycaine Road, Watford

On July 26, inspectors said the catering was ‘very good’ with a 5/5 rating.

Both the cleanliness and condition of facilities and management of food safety were ‘very good’ while the hygienic food handling was ‘good’.

Croxley Green Community Centre

Community Way, Croxley Green

The community centre was rated 5/5 and ranked ‘very good’ on July 26.

Baba Chai

Colonial Way, Watford

Served from a colourful truck, this café that opened this year offers authentic Karak and Kashmiri chai teas, as well as fresh doughnuts, waffles and other desserts.

It ranked ‘very good’ with a 5/5 rating after a visit on July 27.

The Moon Under Water

High Street, Watford

The popular Wetherspoons pub impressed inspectors and scored 5/5 and was ranked ‘very good’ on July 28.

Watford Day Nursery

Printers Avenue, Watford

This nursery was the first place to be inspected in August in Watford. It scored 5/5 and was ranked ‘very good’.

Bubbleology

High Street, Watford

The bubble tea chain opening in Watford scored 5/5 and was said to be ‘very good’ on August 1.

The café scored 5/5 and was ranked ‘very good’ on August 2.

On August 4, Fairy Bakes was ranked ‘very good’ with a 5/5 rating.

On August 9, Tartes De Tout Saisons scored 5/5 and was ranked ‘very good’.

The Partridge Pub

St Georges Drive, Carpenders Park

The pub was ranked ‘very good’ and scored 5/5.
