A Middle Eastern market stall that redeemed itself earlier this year after mouse droppings found in cupboards has managed to maintain it’s very high food hygiene standards.

Inspectors have again ranked the standards at Love Falafel in Watford Market as “very good”.

Last year in October, an alarming report declared the place to be “dirty and unhygienic” due to signs off “historic mouse activity” and the operator wearing gloves with holes.

However, a visit in March this year showed this was no longer the case – and another visit on September 14 has confirmed that standards have not dropped since.

It has kept its 5/5 rating as all areas inspected – the hygienic food handling, cleanliness of facilities and management of food safety – were ranked “good”.
