With Halloween approaching, families will be organising parties, hanging up decorations and preparing their best outfits for trick-or-treating.
A number of Halloween events have also been organised, to both entertain and terrify people of all ages.
Watford is no exception, with events taking place throughout the Borough.
With that in mind, here's seven spooky events taking place in and near Watford this All Hallows Eve.
1. Outdoor Halloween Trail, Cassiobury Park
An outdoor Halloween trail is taking place today (Sunday, October 30) at Cassiobury Park.
The event will begin at 1pm and run until approximately 3pm.
The trail is self-led, with those involved asked to find hidden bats around the park.
Participants are invited to get dressed up, and the trail will take around an hour to complete.
2. Carnival of the Dead, PRYZM
For adults celebrating Halloween, PRYZM will be hosting a "Carnival of the Dead" on Halloween night (Monday, October 31).
The event will run from 10.30pm until 3.30am the following morning.
Tickets cost £4 each, with "a unique blend of circus, carnival & halloween chaos" promised.
The "finest up and coming DJs" are also expected.
3. Halloween Scavenger Hunt, Carpenders Park
A Halloween Scavenger Hunt is taking place today (Sunday, October 30) at Carpenders Park.
The event is being organised by the Carpenders Park Residents Association, and will run until 5pm.
A map will help participants to find 10 clues in the area, which they then need to take a picture of.
A trick or treat will await participants who manage to complete the task.
4. Pumpkin Carving: Make & Take, Watford Palace Theatre
A pumpkin carving session will take place later today (Sunday, October 30), at the Watford Palace Theatre.
The establishment will provide templates and tools, for participants to carve their pumpkins.
Local artist AD Dada will also be present to assist those involved.
Sessions at 2pm and 3.30pm will take place, with tickets costing £10.
5. Family Halloween Trail, Merchant Taylors' School
A Family Halloween Trail will take place around the lake at Merchant Taylors' School, in Northwood.
The event will take place this evening (Sunday, October 30), between 5pm and 8pm.
Entry will cost £6 per child, with adults attending for free (two per child).
The trail will cover two kilometres, and "scary sweet stations" will be positioned around the course.
6. First Halloween Night, Wishful Drinking
Wishful Drinking will be hosting its first Halloween Night tomorrow (Monday, October 31).
"Absolutely ludicrous" Halloween games are promised, along with "sensationally spooky special brews".
The customer with the best fancy dress costume will win £20 in Wishful Drinking vouchers.

7. Kids' Halloween, Toby Carvery
Toby Carvery are inviting families to experience a "Kids' Halloween" at the restaurant.
The organisation's website states that the restaurant is "the best place to take the kids this spooky season".
Customers are invited to dress up in their best Halloween costumes for a pre-Trick or Treating meal.
The chain proudly claims "we’ve got all the treats they need".
