A 'Fireworks Spectacular' is due to take place in Watford, organised by Watford Borough Council.

The event claims to be the largest of its kind in Hertfordshire, and one of the town's most well-attended events.

Watford Borough Council have confirmed that no parking will be available in the Gade Avenue car park from 3pm.

A limited number of Blue Badge spaces will be available, on a first-come-first-served basis.

What is involved?

Local radio station Vibe 107.6FM will take to the stage from 6pm.

Music, competitions and live performances will take place.

Food and drink outlets, funfair rides, bungee trampolines and a bouncy slide will also be present,

The firework display will begin at 7.30pm.

The event is free to attend, however representatives from a range of charities will be present.

Those who attend are asked to "please give generously" to those collecting for the charitable causes.

According to the Met Office, there is a 50 per cent chance of rain in Watford at 6pm.

This decreases to 40 per cent by 9pm, with wind gusts likely to be between 20mph and 25mph.

The temperature for the event should stay at around 12 degrees celsius throughout the evening.
