A new eatery is set to open in Watford town centre just as another one appears to have closed.

Morley’s, which specialises in chicken, burgers and barbecue ribs, will become the latest addition in High Street next to the Slug & Lettuce pub.

Pictures of the takeaway snapped by Stephen Danzig show workmen putting up the signage and renovating inside.

Morley’s already has 19 shops – mostly based in London – but this is believed to be the first one in Hertfordshire.

The website details its history dating back to 1985, with a standout moment being rapper Stormzy filming his ‘Big For Your Boots’ hit at one of the shops.

The new opening comes as takeaway Dracula’s European Foods, in The Parade near L’artista, appears to have closed.
