Eagle-eyed viewers may be able to spot Abbots Langley in BBC comedy The Cleaner which airs tonight (March 24).

TV crews took to High Street to record new material for series two at the end of October 2022.

The first episode will be on BBC One at 9.30pm and stars Greg Davies as Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead, who is responsible for removing any signs of death from crime scenes, while gossiping along the way.

A police scene was filmed outside the electric shop Sheffields and the store was also used for inside shots.

Another location that may be in the series is the Abbots Langley Allotments next to the Community Centre, where a drone was used for overhead shots, while more scenes were shot outside the Dolphin Fish Bar.

Melissa Lee, owner of the appropriately-named florist Over The Moon, said: “The film crew were very friendly, and it was nice to see them making use of the shops in the high street whether it be for a chat or to purchase something.

“The whole week there were more people in the high street as the atmosphere was buzzing."

It has been a long time coming for fans of the show, as series one was first shown 15 months ago.
