The winners of the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence have been released, with one located just outside of Watford.

The Grove, a luxury spa and golf hotel in Chandler's Cross, has been named the winner of 'Best Immersive Experience' for UK hotels.

It is in 300 acres of countryside and a Grade II listed building previously used as a retreat for the Earls of Clarendon.

The hotel includes an 18-hole champion golf course, a new luxury spa and a walled garden with a beach, outdoor pool and tennis courts.

Hotel Manager, Joanna Barnett, said: "We are thrilled to have been recognised for best immersive experience for the second year in a row. The award acknowledges our commitment to creating exceptional moments for our guests and providing unforgettable experiences that set us apart in the hospitality landscape."

"This recognition celebrates the hard work from all the team and inspires us to keep expanding our offering, making sure there is something special for every visitor to The Grove."

The five-star space has been given the award due to its "unforgettable experiences", according to the Condé Nast Johansens website.

It has five unique restaurants, all offering a different variety of cuisines.

The Grove has recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, after finishing a three-year renovation.

It has hosted many celebrities, including Barrack Obama, David Cameron, and the England men's national football team before the Euro 2020 final.
