Three interactive workshops designed to capture the 'Magic of Cassiobury' will take place over the next three months.

The effort is spearheaded by the Watford Area Arts Forum (WAAF) and is funded by an award from Watford Borough Council's Neighbourhood Grant scheme.

Held in the picturesque Cassiobury Fisheries and Farm, each workshop will accommodate 20 participants.

The first, titled 'Cassiobury Trees', will take place on Tuesday, April 23.

Participants, under the guidance of local mixed media artist and tutor Sian Fenwick, will create a torn paper tree collage crafted from recycled papers from various sources.

Helen Nicell, a creative writing tutor, will steer the attendees to either a collective or individual piece of writing inspired by Cassiobury trees and other park elements, focusing on conservation and wildlife.

The second workshop, 'Cassiobury Postcards', will take place on Tuesday, May 21, where memories of Cassiobury Park will be documented.

Participants will create postcards using recycled fabrics and stitching, supplemented with a piece of creative writing.

The concluding workshop, 'Save Our Park', will take place on Tuesday, June 18, eyeing the future of the park.

The group will present a mixed media piece using litter and recycled items, coupled with stitchwork.

The creative writing segment will cover themes of sustainability, plus the effects on the environment and wildlife.

Each workshop, running from 10.30am to 2.30pm, will be held in Cassiobury Farm's well-equipped studio.

Sessions are free but places are limited to one workshop per person.
