Watford’s latest chicken shop has been awarded the highest food hygiene score in a new release of ratings.
Wingers, in The Parade, was rated 5/5 after it was inspected by Watford Borough Council officers on June 25.
The handling of food and cleanliness of its facilities were judged to be ‘very good’ while its management of food safety was ‘good’.
The chicken shop opened on May 29 in the former Take A Wok unit, which had sat empty since the takeaway closed in early 2023.
It is run by brothers and branch co-owners Jas and Raj Dhillon, who live in Watford and work in financial services.
Speaking after the launch, Raj said: “People might look at us and think we are just another chicken shop like everyone else, but I think we are very different.”
