Watford and Bushey Bridge Club raises hundreds for charity

A bridge club’s summer party has turned an evening of cards into vital support for a local food bank.

Watford and Bushey Bridge Club collected funds during the event which welcomed 100 members.

The raffle raised £655 for The Red Trust Food Bank in Bushey, supporting families in need.

A spokesperson from the club said: "The evening’s raffle proved a highlight, with members' generosity raising a fantastic £655 for The Red Trust Food Bank in Bushey – a wonderful contribution that will make a real difference to local families in need."

Food was also available with guests also enjoying a complimentary buffet as part of the festivities.
