An Abbots Langley schoolgirl has been found dead at her home this morning.
Jessica Cobb, 15, was a pupil at St. Michael’s Catholic High School in High Elms Lane.
St Michael’s headteacher Edward Conway said " Everyone at St. Michael’s is devastated by this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family at this very sad time".
All students and staff have been informed of the sad news in assemblies today, and prayers and a Mass have been said.
Police have confirmed they were called to Gable Close, Abbots Langley, at 7.30 this morning. Jessica was pronounced dead at the scene and at this stage the police are not treating it as suspicious.
Students are also being offered professional advice and support where necessary.
