A Mill End mother was presented with a commemorative plate after becoming the 50,000th visitor to the Three Rivers Museum.
Helen Grutzner and her four-year-old daughter, Lizzie, were presented a Rickmansworth plate by Three Rivers District Council chairman Les Mead in a ceremony at the museum on Friday, June 21.
Councillor Mead, who has been involved with the museum for 25 years and is currently its vice chairman, said: "We were very pleased that Helen and Lizzie were from Mill End, and proud that the Museum had achieved 50,000 visitors.
"It is very important that we protect and preserve our historic artefacts, documents and photographs so that they are available to the local community, after all its local history in the making."
