Police have released a CCTV image of a man after a teenage girl was assaulted in central Watford.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said the victim was approached by a man in Queens Road between 8pm and 11pm on July 31.

He then walked with her to Queens Place where she was assaulted.

The victim was left extremely shaken up after the incident but was not seriously injured.

Police said they believe a similar attack took place nearby in Radlett Road Playing Fields on the same evening.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sue Wadsworth, said: "We are doing everything we can to find the person responsible for this crime and I am appealing to anyone who thinks they may know the man pictured, or if you recognise yourself, to please get in contact.

"It may be that you were a witness to the offence and can help us with our enquiries."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101.
