Staff at Watford Accountancy firm Meades & Co have presented more than £130 for Peace Hospice Care.
Constantly looking for ways to fundraise, this time they combined donations from visitors and staff for drinks and biscuits, with a 50p fine for staff every time they left their computer monitors on overnight. The amount raised was then doubled by the company.
Handing over a cheque for £138.64, the staff all displayed their colourful Christmas jumpers, with managing director Paul Meades dressed as Father Christmas.
Rachel Fowler, corporate development manager for Peace Hospice Care, collected the cheque and said: "We are so delighted to have local companies like Meades & Co supporting us whenever they can.
"They are always looking at new and innovative ideas to raise money to support us. From our patients, families and staff at Peace Hospice Care, we sincerely thank them for their contribution to helping us raise the £4 million we need to offer our services free of charge across south west Hertfordshire".
