A Watford-themed quiz night has been organised to help a group of students who are trying to turn £100 into £1,000.
The evening has been arranged by the organisers of the Dragon's Apprentice Challenge, which links Year 12 students from local schools to local businesses and charities.
Set up by the Watford and Three Rivers Trust, the challenge offers the students an opportunity to experience setting up and running a business, gaining organisational and job-related skills, whilst learning about the work of their designated charity.
Last autumn five students from St. Joan of Arc Catholic School were paired with business mentor Matthew Arnold and Baldwin solicitors and challenged to turn £100 into £1,000 for Watford New Hope Trust.
So far they have raised £800 through various events. The quiz night is another opportunity for them to increase their overall fundraising total.
The quiz will take place on February 24 at the Watford Colosseum. For more information or to book a table, please email dragons@w3rt.org or call 01923 216950.
