The Beatles head a powerful list of forthcoming singles featuring such big star names as Ray Charles, Duane Eddy, the Swinging Blue Jeans, the Crickets, Johnny Tillotson and Trini Lopez.
The next Beatles single, out in two weeks, is titled Can’t Buy Me Love. The coupling is You Can’t Do That. Both were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Advance orders are expected to top one and a half million.
As the fantastic group continues to smash all records both in Britain and America as well as round the world, other people are still trying to cash in on their success. The latest effort comes from a group called the Bulldogs on Mercury. It is a number titled John, Paul, George and Ringo and has nothing to recommend it.
