A famous author visited a Brownie group as part of Chorleywood Children’s Literary Festival at the weekend.
Jacqueline Wilson met the 2nd Chenies and Chalfont brownies, who enjoyed a fun-filled day with events such as a picnic on the Common, scavenger hunts and games.
The 22 girls, aged between seven and nine, also had a sleepover in Chorleywood War Memorial Hall, in Common Road, on Saturday night.
The girls were also visited by Chorleywood Parish Council chairman, Raj Khiroya, and vice chairman, Lyn Sutherland, who discussed the role of the council.
The literary festival is organised by Chorleywood Bookshop.
