The Mayor of Hertsmere appealed to the district on Wednesday to keep the Jubilee spirit going.
Councillor Mike Watts told the full council how impressed he had been with the Jubilee celebrations. He said he and the Deputy Mayor had visited all parts of the district and between them, they visited 54 street parties.
“Don’t let’s wait for another Jubilee to get together. Let’s hope all those people who until then just met and said ‘Good morning’ and ‘Good evening’, keep their friendships going.”
