Peace Hospice Care has received a £1,590 donation from John Lewis Watford as part of its Community Matters Scheme.
The cheque was presented to Peace Hospice Care by Sue Henderson, section manager catering, whose relative had stayed at the hospice.
Sue was delighted to be asked to present the cheque to Vicky Luk, corporate fundraising manager, having experienced the care given by the hospice recently to her sister.
Sue, who is set to volunteer at the hospice, said: " Everyone at the hospice was so caring to my sister and my family that I am delighted that our customers have supported this charity."
Organisations who would like to be considered as part of Community Matters should visit John Lewis Watford to pick up a nomination form from the Community Matters collection box in the Place to Eat restaurant.
