A secret art sale raised more than £5,000 for a charity based in Rickmansworth.
Organised by Watford Mencap, the secret art sale, held at The Cafe in the Park, Frogmoor Lane, exhibited anonymous paintings from artists, local art groups and people with learning difficulties.
The event was held between Friday, September 26 and Sunday, September 28.
All of the paintings were priced at £35 and the artist’s name was only revealed once the painting had been bought.
Liz Hizli, community fundraiser at Watford Mencap said: "It is the second year we have done this.
"We had a cracking time last year, but this year it has been even better and we hope to do it for many years to come."
"We support people with learning difficulties and their families. We have a children’s centre in North Watford. We have a number of homes and we are running a number of iniatives.
"The money will go towards supporting people with learning difficulties and giving them the chance to make choices on how they will run their lives."
In total 109 out of the 200 paintings were sold, but the remaining pieces will be sold at Watford Mencap's AGM later this month.
