An application for a new telecommunications tower to be built in Bushey Station has been submitted to Watford Borough Council.
The proposed tower will be 21m high and will support six antennas and three dishes.
It is hoped that the tower will provide improved capacity for 2G, 3G and 4G services in the area, which currently experiences a high demand.
The pole will be situated between the mainline tracks and the London Overground tracks, adjacent to Platform 2.
The proposal states that although "it will have come visibility from the nearby residential blocks of flats to the west and south-west, it is not considered that this would give rise to any significant loss of outlook or amenity to these flats."
The application will be considered at the Development Control Committee meeting on Thursday, January 8.
