Residents of the Radlett Road area are hoping their monthly lunch club will continue to expand after a great turnout for their festive meal at Watford Borough Council’s Centrepoint Community Centre.
The Dine Out Tuesday lunch club has been organised by members of the Radlett Road Community Association, who divide tasks such as laying tables, serving food and washing up between them.
Their aim is to combat loneliness and help local people get to know each other by providing an affordable hot meal on the third Tuesday of each month - costing £5 per person for two courses.
First Choice Catering supplies the association with healthy meals and Watford Community Housing Trust funded the lunch club through its community development fund.
Michelle Hawe, community centre manager, said: "Our lunch clubs help build a happier, healthier neighbourhood. It brings people out of their homes to socialise whilst enjoying a hot, healthy and delicious meal."
Contact Michelle to book your two course meal on 01923 211058.
