Young adults in school sixth forms across Dacorum have been finding out the importance of registering to vote in order to have a say in the upcoming elections.
From Thursday, March 5 to Monday, March 30, The Dacourm Borough Council electoral services team spoke to around 600 students who will be 18 by this year’s local and general elections.
120 students registered to vote during the sessions.
Jim Doyle, group manager of democratic services, said: "Around 111,000 people in Dacorum are on the electoral register. If you aren’t one of those people and are eligible to vote your voice won’t be heard in May.
"It’s so easy to register online, or if you don’t have access to the internet, then contact us straight away - make sure you have your say."
