More than 100 students from West Herts college attended a mini retail workshop within John Lewis Watford last week.
This included a series of talks and an insight into retail business from Sarah Webster, section manager decorative accessories assisted, Ian Maden, chronicle editor, Kate Leach and Sharon Stone PR and marketing co-ordinators.
The students, at the start of a two-year BTEC National Extended Diploma in Business, have been learning about marketing, visual merchandising, customer service, recruitment, finance and team development.
Gillian Painter, lecturer at West Herts College, said: "Huge thanks to all the team for all the effort that went into the visits, it is very much appreciated.
"All groups said it was really interesting and all now seem keen on a career in John Lewis."
Pearl Robson, community liaison co-ordinator for John Lewis Watford, said: "It was brilliant to be able to offer some added value to the students course and show them different aspects of John Lewis."
