A CHARITY which helps children suffering from cancer has been backed by Watford-based public house chain, Wetherspoon.
Wetherspoon, which has its headquarters in Reeds Crescent, has chosen Challenging Childhood Cancer and Leukaemia (CLIC) as its charity for the year.
The pub company will support CLIC through fundraising events in all of its 470 pubs as well as its head office.
CLIC pays for nurses who look after children in their homes or in the charities accommodation near specialist children's cancer hospitals.
It is also involved in funding research projects into better treatment and possible cures for cancer.
