A year three pupil from a Bushey school came first in the megafinal of the UK Chess Challenge.
Eight-year-old Scarlet Wolstenholme who attends St Margaret's School in Merry Hill Road, took part in the under eight's Girls Megafinal for North Middlesex.
Out of 25 girls that took part, Scarlet was a clear winner, winning six out six of her games.
