London Midland train services from St Albans Abbey to Watford Junction have been suspended for most of today.
The service has not been running today due to slippery rails and it not being safe enough to operate.
Francis Thomas, spokesman for London Midland, said: “It’s been suspended for most of the day because the track is very slippy and not fit to run trains on.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and we have put a bus replacement service in.
“Anyone who has to wait more than half an hour, we will be offering them compensation.”
The suspension to the service is expected to be in place until 6pm.
